Candy

We co-hosted a baby shower for my brother-in-law and his wife, who is due on the 27th of April this past Saturday. So I thought it would be a really neat idea to try to make our on party favors. So off to Michael's we went, and we ended up in the candy isle. I found the cutest little molds... a big teddy bear and some rubber duckies. So we bought two of each, plus all the tools and colors we needed. We also bought some cellophane treat bags and I found some mini clothes pins for the packaging.

We started this endeavor on Friday at about 8 pm. 4 hours, 10+ bowls of colored candy, 24 ducks and 6 bears later, we were done. I thought I used the wrong kind of chocolate, because it kept getting a bit melty everytime I handled it, but it was too late... we were commited. Anyway, after freezing it overnight, it looked like the candy held up ok!
